How to Escape Dinosaurs in Steal An Egg On KuKirin
Escape dinosaur chases in Steal An Egg On KuKirin by outrunning them: build speed with shop bikes, upgrades and pets, and fix the failures that end egg runs.
In Steal An Egg On KuKirin, a dinosaur chase has one designed answer: speed. The game's own How to Play list puts the threat and the counter side by side — ride your KuKirin to steal eggs, "Outrun angry dinosaurs chasing you", then "Upgrade your speed" and "Unlock faster motorcycles and rarer eggs". So when a dinosaur is gaining on you, the demonstrated escape is not a hiding spot or a drop-the-egg trick. It is having a bigger speed number than the area you are stealing in, and keeping the throttle open until the pursuer falls behind. Done right, you keep the egg, and it hatches on its normal timer.
What a chase is, and what escaping it looks like
The chase starts around the steal: you ride in, grab an egg, and angry dinosaurs come after you — that pursuit is the hazard the game itself advertises. Rival players can chase you too, because they can steal an egg off your bike the same way. The escape looks identical in both cases: the faster rider simply pulls away. In one recorded session, a player riding off with a legendary egg says "He won't catch me" and then confirms "Okay, and it worked" — the egg stays on the bike and hatches on its normal timer ("How long does it take to hatch here? Two minutes."). The margin decides it from both directions: a left-behind chaser complains "he ran away from me. He's too fast", and a runner who is "way too fast" makes his escape "impossible to do" for everyone behind him.
One honesty note before you rely on this: the recorded chase-and-escape quotes in that session come from players chasing players, not dinosaurs — the dinosaur pursuit itself comes from the game's official description, and it advertises the same lever that worked on camera: speed. Nothing in the game's own materials describes ending a chase any other way, and what happens if a dinosaur actually catches you isn't documented. So build your escape plan around pace, not around reaching some particular building or landmark.

The escape tactic: win the margin before you grab
A chase you can win is decided before the dinosaur ever spawns. The players in the session judge each target against their own speed, and so should you:
- Read the requirement where you're stealing. Areas and eggs post a number — "17 million is needed" at one far egg — and players talk about the "recommended level" for an area the same way.
- Compare it with your speed honestly. A target near your number is a coin flip: a 2.5-million requirement draws "Well, maybe it'll work". A target far above you is a lost run: at the 17-million egg with 500,000 speed, the attempt ends "I didn't make it. Okay, maybe this is too much for me." A near miss ("Almost made it. Almost made it") is the same failure with better luck.
- If you're short, raise speed first. The stated fix is exactly that: "gotta go open an egg here and gain speed, because otherwise it won't work."
- Then take the egg and keep moving. Jump when you cross into another stage, keep riding until the chaser stops gaining, and count the run as won when the egg is still on your bike when its hatch timer runs out.
Your collection shifts what counts as a safe margin. The same player who failed at the 17-million egg explains the workaround: "I steal eggs from a level where I should have 17 million, but I have less than three... because I have a mythic now... and it works easily." A stronger pet roster raises the tier you can operate in above your raw speed number.
Raising speed: the route that makes escapes routine
Every escape lever in this game feeds one number, and the session shows the whole funding loop:
- Earn cash from pets and eggs. Pet income is the loop the game names itself: "Earn money from your pets."
- Buy the next Kukirin in the shop with cash. "You can buy better ones" — "In the shop." In one session a 400,000-cash model is bought and called "easy" to afford, a model "for a million" is window-shopped, and a top model priced at 8 million "earns more" and "has more speed". These are prices called out in a single video, not a full price list, so treat them as ballpark. The route is cash-only in practice: a 16,500-Robux offer appears in the shop and gets declined.
- Buy speed upgrades between runs. The session shows an upgrade treadmill pushed up to level seven. Upgrades are the repeatable spend while you save toward the next bike — see the speed upgrades page.
- Hatch every egg you take. New pets pay twice: "When you get a new pet, it gives you speed and cash."
- Fill the pet index. Index completion itself grants speed: "I collected a lot of animals for the index... you get speed."
Motorcycles are the other official lever — "Unlock faster motorcycles and rarer eggs" — and top models pay twice, earning more cash per second while adding speed, which is why the fastest motorcycles are worth saving for. The full arc from starter bike to endgame speed is laid out in the speed progression guide.
Make it a habit: before any run into a higher tier, do what the session players did and gain speed first, "because otherwise it won't work."
Failures that end runs, and their fixes
| Failure | How it plays out | Prevention |
|---|---|---|
| Too little speed for the area | At an egg where "17 million is needed. I have 500,000", the grab fails: "I didn't make it. Okay, maybe this is too much for me." | Read the posted requirement, decline tiers far above you — a 30-million secret egg earns a flat "No, I won't steal it, no chance... I'm not even going near there" — and raise speed before retrying. |
| Knockdown by a hit | A hit drops you mid-run: "Ouch, I fell over." — "Because you tried to hit me"; also "She hit me." during a marginal steal. | Keep a speed margin so pursuers never reach hitting range. No dodge or block is shown anywhere in the session. |
| Fall entering a new stage | "Sometimes when you enter a stage, you can fall over." | "You have to jump between stages" — stated as a rule by the session's most geared player. |
A certainty note on knockdowns: the recorded knockdowns in the session come from player stick-hits, not dinosaur bites — what a dinosaur hit actually does to a rider isn't shown. The prevention doesn't change either way: a pursuer that never closes the gap can never land the hit.
Take it into your next run
Pick a target whose posted requirement sits at or below your speed, grab it, and keep riding — jumping between stages — until the chaser gives up ground. If the margin felt thin, spend the hatch downtime on upgrades and another egg. The steal itself is covered step by step in the how-to-steal-eggs guide, the whole loop in run order in the egg run guide, and any currently working codes are kept on the Codes page.
