How to Unlock Rare Eggs in Steal An Egg On KuKirin

The verified unlock path to rarer eggs in Steal An Egg On KuKirin: build speed from index pets, upgrades and faster Kukirin bikes, then steal, escape and hatch.

You don't buy rarer eggs in Steal An Egg On KuKirin, and you don't unlock them with a code — the game gates them behind speed progression. The official how-to-play chain is: earn money from your pets, upgrade your speed, and that unlocks faster motorcycles and rarer eggs. In practice, that means collecting every new pet into your index, buying speed and earning upgrades, saving for a faster Kukirin — and once your speed carries you there, riding out to a higher stage and stealing the rarer egg it holds, even when the money number above it is far above your balance.

This page covers the unlock path itself: what actually opens access, where each rarer tier sits along the route, and the steal–escape–hatch run that turns an egg into a paying pet.

How rare egg access actually works

The game's official description lays the progression out as ordered steps: ride the KuKirin to steal eggs, outrun angry dinosaurs, hatch eggs to collect rare pets, earn money from your pets, upgrade your speed, then unlock faster motorcycles and rarer eggs — finishing with "Discover new egg types, pets, sizes, and mutations!" An independent guide describes the same loop: earn money from pets, upgrade speed and bike, and push toward faster vehicles and rarer egg unlocks.

Two things follow from that. First, access to rarer eggs is a progression gate built into the core loop, not a purchase or a code — if you've seen codes mentioned elsewhere as a shortcut, current bonus codes (if any are live) belong on the codes page, but no code is part of this unlock. Second, the "unlock" isn't a button you press once: it's your speed total, built from several sources, deciding how far out you can ride and still escape with the egg.

Speed is the real gate — the money number is a recommendation

Higher areas and eggs display a money requirement on screen. In the one documented play session this guide draws on, those numbers included "2.5 million is needed," "17 million is needed," and a secret egg showing 30 million. The players repeatedly treated them as soft recommendations rather than hard gates: one stole from a level showing "17 million is needed" while holding less than three million ("it works easily"), and later went back with 500,000 ("I steal from there"). A 2.5-million spot was also attempted well under the number.

What actually decides the steal is speed — enough to reach the area, grab the egg, and outrun the chaser. At the far end of that session, speed ran out: secret-egg attempts failed, and the players called it "hard to get a secret." One caveat worth knowing before you plan a run: that soft-number behavior is a single-session observation, shown for the tiers they visited (legendary, mythic, cosmic, and attempted secret), not a proven rule for every stage in the game. Treat the displayed number as a difficulty hint — don't assume you're locked out below it, but expect the top end to demand genuinely high speed.

Where rarer eggs sit along the route

In that session, higher stages hosted higher egg categories the further out the players rode. This is a map of what to expect, in the order reached — for exact spawn spots, see the egg locations page, and for the full rarity comparison see the rarest eggs page.

Stage reachedEgg category thereOn-screen moneyWhat happened
Third levelLegendary—Stolen and secured: "We have a legendary egg from the third level now"; hatched in about two minutes
Next step upMythic"17 million is needed"Stolen anyway with far less — under 3 million ("it works easily"), then again with 500,000
Another mid-game spotLegendary"2.5 million is needed"Attempted despite the gap ("Well, maybe it'll work")
The clown's areaMythical—The mythical egg the players went for; a 300-Robux opening option appeared and was declined
Furthest areas reachedCosmic—Escaped with one: "I'm running away with a cosmic egg"
A far spotSecret30 millionDeclined at first, then attempted and failed — "it's hard to get a secret"
BeyondCandy world—Named as the next destination ("I'll try to go to the candy world")

Two ordering notes from the same session, since they tell you whether a steal was an upgrade: a legendary outranks an epic (one player guessed otherwise and was corrected — "no, a legendary is better"), and the mythical egg taken from the clown was "better than the legendary one. And by a lot."

The unlock route, step by step

  1. Build speed from the pet index first. Hatch the eggs you steal and collect every new species — "when you get a new pet, it gives you speed and cash." One player attributed his speed entirely to "I collected a lot of animals for the index," and before harder steals the plan was literally to open an egg and "gain speed, because otherwise it won't work."
  2. Buy the cheap boosts. Base upgrades make pets "earn more cash" (a treadmill upgrade is among them), and it's worth grabbing a trail, because "a trail boosts your bonus." See the speed upgrades page for what to prioritize.
  3. Save for a faster Kukirin with in-game money. In the session, a bike asked for as a "10 million" Kukirin turned out to cost eight — and was bought on the spot because it "earns more" and "has more speed." Bike tiers were visible in play (a million-tier blue Kukirin, then the black one next). The motorcycle unlock and fastest motorcycles pages cover the ladder.
  4. Jump between stages toward a higher-level area. The third level holds a legendary; mythic, cosmic and secret sit further out, with the candy world beyond. Jump carefully — "sometimes when you enter a stage, you can fall over."
  5. Take the rarer egg even below its displayed number. Demonstrated with under 3 million against "17 million is needed" and with 500,000. Your speed, not your balance, is the deciding factor — the steal mechanics page covers the grab itself.
  6. Outrun the dinosaur. Success is easy to recognize: you're clear of the chaser with the egg in hand — "Okay, and it worked. We have a legendary egg from the third level now." If escapes keep failing, that's your signal to build more speed before the next tier; the escape guide has the details.
  7. Hatch it at your base. The legendary took about two minutes; other eggs ran six minutes to roughly an hour, and endgame eggs were described in hours. Eggs "open faster at night," so time big hatches after dark — the hatching guide explains the timing.
  8. Collect the pet, then repeat at the next tier. The hatched pet pays — "the bull earns me 11,000," and a 50,000 drop was called "already pretty good" — while every new species adds speed on top. That money and speed fund the run to the next, higher-requirement area. That's the whole loop: steal, escape, hatch, payout, rarer egg.

Do you need Robux?

Not for access. In the documented session, Robux openings were refused outright — "how do you open this for Robux? You can't" — and when one player wanted to rush an egg, the answer was "You can't... You have to wait for night," summed up as "This is an anti-Robux game." The demonstrated speed sources were all free: "I haven't spent a single one," and the speed advantage was explained as coming "without Robux."

But shortcuts are egg-dependent, not impossible. A 300-Robux opening option did appear on one mythical egg (declined), and in another exchange a Robux hatching speed-up was called "definitely possible" — so check the individual egg's own panel rather than assuming either way. At the extreme top end, a shop item costing 16,500 Robux sat behind content described around 700 million speed — well outside the free route shown here.

What changes after your first rarer egg

Access compounds. Your first rare pet earns money and adds speed; that buys upgrades and a faster bike; those carry you to the next stage. A sensible ladder from the session: the third-level legendary first (short hatch, solid payout), then mythic, then cosmic — with the candy world as a destination and the secret tier as the known hard one. If you're hunting specific pets from those eggs, the rare pets and pet earnings pages cover what hatches into what and what it pays.

With your index pets, a few upgrades and a faster Kukirin, you already hold the confirmed unlock — pick a documented rarer egg, ride out, and steal it. And since updates can change prerequisites, prices and tier ordering, it's worth a quick check of the updates page before committing to a long grind.
